Glenorchy Council Offices
The Glenorchy City Council offices will close at 5.00 p.m. on Thursday, 1 April and re-open at 8.30 a.m. on Wednesday, 7 April.
Urgent Enquiries
We provide an after hours service for emergencies relating to storm damage, Council’s stormwater infrastructure, or hazardous circumstances, including dangerous animals. If you require this service during our closure period, please phone 6216 6800 and your call will be automatically transferred.
Waste, Recycling and FOGO Collection and Jackson Street Waste Management Centre (Landfill)
Waste, Recycling and FOGO collections will be undertaken as usual during the Easter period. Wheelie bins are to be placed kerbside prior to 6.00 a.m. on the day of your collection.
During the Easter break, please direct any enquiries regarding your collection to Veolia Environmental Services on 6244 0000.
The Jackson Street Waste Management Centre will be closed on Good Friday (2 April). Normal operating times will apply on all other days.
Tolosa Park
Tolosa Park will continue to open every day.
Opening times are: Weekdays, weekends and public holidays from 10.30 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. during daylight savings, changing to 10.30am to 4.00pm from Sunday, 4 April.
Child Care Centres
The Berriedale and Benjafield Child Care Centres will close at 6.00 p.m. on Thursday,
1 April and re-open at 7.30 a.m. on Wednesday, 7 April.
Moonah Arts Centre (MAC)
The MAC will be closed on Friday, 2 April, open on Saturday, 3 April from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., and then closed from Sunday, 4 April to Tuesday, 6 April (re-opening on Wednesday, 7 April).
