The 2023 Business Person of the Year award was won by Belle Parker, who opened her real estate office three years ago in Claremont. Belle’s agency has a strong focus on people and giving back to the community, and has supported more than 100 groups, individuals, associations, incentives and organisations since its inception in November 2020.
Belle enjoys being able to support the Breakfast Club and each fortnight Belle supplies breakfast items such as bread, butter, milk, spreads and fruit which are dropped off at local schools on a rotating basis.
Belle wholeheartedly believes that the meaning of Christmas is giving to others. Each Christmas, gifts she has purchased throughout the year are placed under the Christmas tree ready to be donated to Anglicare, and she encourages anyone who can to give a little to assist her campaign. Last year the response was so overwhelming that the presents needed to be collected in two separate trips.
Belle is a strong believer of supporting small local businesses as well as sponsoring individuals in and around the local communities. In 2021 Belle donated a car to a Glenorchy resident who sadly lost her own vehicle and household possessions in a fire.
Whether she is donating food to an animal shelter, sponsoring a young talent or promoting a small local business, Belle is always giving, encouraging and trying to make our community the best it can be. Belle is definitely one of a kind! With an infectious energy, no nonsense – can do attitude and a heart of gold.
