Glenorchy City Council is working with an information technology provider to find out if a cyber incident involving the provider’s MS365 platform has had any impact.
The provider has stated that there is no connection between this platform and the software services the Council uses.
Current advice to Council is that customer-facing services have not been impacted. Council’s services to the public remain unaffected at this time.
The Council is working as a priority to determine what impact, or risks, if any, there may be to Council or ratepayers from this incident.
Council is taking this issue extremely seriously. Cybersecurity operating protocols have been activated, and we will keep people informed as we work through this issue.
