Our Holiday Colouring Competition 2024/25 is open now!

The annual Glenorchy City Council colouring competition is a fun opportunity for young people to get creative, connect with their City and maybe win some art supplies!

All entries will be displayed at Glenorchy City Council Chambers in February 2025 and on Council’s social media pages.

A winning entry will be selected by Mayor Sue Hickey.
This competition is open to children who live or attend school in the City of Glenorchy.
Entries close Monday 3 February 2025.

This year’s colouring sheet artwork is by Takira Simon-Brown.

Takira Simon-Brown’s artwork Pre-settlement Dreaming is a vision of Lutruwita (Tasmania) before European settlement, with local and native flora and fauna.
Palawa artist Takira Simon-Brown was born in Nipaluna (Hobart) and resides on the Trumanyapayna area of Paradareme country.

The majority of Takira’s family reside at Truwuna (Cape Barren Island). Takira is a descendant of chief Mannalargenna of the Plangermaireener nation and has been a practising artist since the age of 12 years old.
