ANZAC Day

11:00am – 12:00pm

The ceremony will be held on Council Lawns outside Council Chambers at 374 Main Road, Glenorchy, from 11:00am-12:00pm on the 25th April 2023.

Glenorchy City Council will be holding an ANZAC Day service commemorating all Australians and New Zealanders who have served and died in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. ANZAC Day specifically commemorates the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) soldiers who landed on the shores of Gallipoli, Turkey, during WWI on April 25, 1915.

Members of the public are invited to attend this important service honouring the sacrifices made by those who have fought for their countries and reflected the ANZAC spirit of courage, endurance and mateship, which continue to form vital elements of our national identity.
