Stormwater & pathway upgrade – Abbotsfield Park, Claremont

26 June 2024 - 30 September 2024

Glenorchy City Council are carrying out stormwater renewal works along the boundary of Abbotsfield Park.

As part of the project, Council will also be formalising a footpath linking Adelphi Road and the Brooker Highway.

Council apologises for the inconvenience this may cause during this time and request that all pedestrians obey any advisory signage.

Road works – Main Road, Glenorchy

24 June 2024 - 30 September 2024

On behalf of Glenorchy City Council, State-Wide Earthworks will be commencing footpath and road seal upgrade works on Main Road, between Gavitt Street and Elwick Road (see on the image below).

The works are scheduled to commence in the week starting 24th June 2024 for approximately 14 weeks, weather permitting.

There will be partial lane closures, limited access to businesses, minor delays and temporary bus-stop closure expected within the works vicinity.

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation and patience during this time.

Hours of Disruption: 7:00am - 6:00 pm Monday to Friday. No works scheduled for weekends and public holidays.

Disruption Type: Partial lane closures, limited access to businesses, minor delays and temporary bus-stop closure expected within the works vicinity

Footpath renewal – Karambi Street, Chigwell

29 April 2024 - 31 July 2024

Glenorchy City Council will be renewing footpaths on Karambi Street as a part of the annual Capital Works program.

Both street sides will receive a new footpath and kerb & channel.

Please be advised that the construction time will be approximately until the end of July 2024, weather permitting.

Working hours are between the hours of 7:30 am to 4:30pm on weekdays.

Council apologises for the inconvenience this may cause during this time and requests all motorists and pedestrians obey all speed and advisory signs.

Disruption Type: Temporary traffic management directions may be placed in your area for the safety of workers. Please follow all signs and navigate the area safely.

Road reconstruction – Renfrew Circle, Goodwood

8 April 2024 - 1 September 2024

Glenorchy City Council is reconstructing the footpath, kerb & channel, stormwater connections on Renfrew Circle, Goodwood.

Traffic management will be in place, with temporary road closures and reduced speed limits throughout the works.

We acknowledge that this might be inconvenient for users at times, however we are working to improve the street and ask for your co-operation and patience.

Please follow available signage and traffic controllers directions when passing the work site.
