In Tasmania some roads are maintained by Transport Services and others are maintained by local councils.
Use this LIST Map to locate a road and see who owns it.
- Find the road by scrolling around the map or using the search bar at the top of the page.
- Click on the road and you’ll see a pop up box.
- In the pop up box, click on the arrow next to Road Centrelines. The Authority field displays the owner of the road. It will say either Council or State Growth.
- if the Authority for the road you’ve selected says Council, find which council is responsible for it by clicking on the arrow next to Local Government Areas and looking in the Name field. Search for the named council’s website and contact details using this list.
- if the Authority says State Growth, contact Transport Services.
